Gregg Places 3rd to Advance to Regional Meet

On Monday April 10th, the Ponder track team traveled to Aubrey to compete in the District 13-2A Track Meet. For the second time

in her high school career, speedy Junior Mychelle Gregg qualified for the regional meet by placing 3rd in the 3200. She was the only runner from Ponder to advance.

The remainder of the track team competed in the boys and girls JV divisions. In the boys JV division, Scott Lambert placed 2nd in the shot put and 4th in the discus and Jesus Lujan placed 5 th in the 3200 meter race. The results for the JV girls division were: Kari Routh 2nd in the 3200 and 4th in the 1600, Kelli Routh 5th 3200, Ellysia Dierker 4th in the discus, Betty Sciscoe 1st in the 1600, and qualifying for the finals on Thursday were Nikki Johnson in the 400 meter race and Katie Hood in the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles.

Mychelle will run in the Regional Track Meet in Stephenville on Friday April 28th
