Baccalaureate Honors Graduates

Stepping into their last week of high school, the seniors, along with families and friends, attended the PHS Baccalaureate on Sunday, May 25 to celebrate commencement and relive four memorable years.
The invocation and benediction were done by seniors Sky Sciscoe and Dylan Barber. Ag. Teacher, Mr. Stover opened the ceremony by singing for the graduates. Senior Keegan Farley introduced the guest speaker, Pastor Rocky Ellison from the Ponder Methodist Church, who delivered a motivational speech to the class about life after high school.
Finally, a video put together by Mrs. Broadstreet was shown of the graduates, filling the room with laughter and tears as the guests prepared to let go of the Class of 2008.

May 27-29:
If you are interested in applying for Nova Net for next year, see Mrs. Routh for an application.
Seniors: You must see Mrs. Routh before school is out to tell her where to send your final transcript.
Seniors: If you have been awarded a scholarship for any schools, please tell Mrs. Routh so it can be announced at graduation.
Juniors: If you are taking dual credit this summer or next school year, see Mrs. Routh for your transcript and permission forms to enroll.
Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors: Schedule requests are due before the school year is over!

Band Ends Year with Banquet/Concert
Band Scholarship Awarded to Senior

The Ponder Band hosted their final concert and banquet last Friday, May 23. The last performance was followed by a dinner for band members and their families and guests. Mr. Walters awarded each band member with certificates.
The highlight of the evening was the awarding of the band scholarship. Senior Kati Barnes received the $200 scholarship for her excellence and dedication to the band program throughout her high school career.
